Stinking Cigar

The story and dialogues written by me (Final Draft) was sent to my friend Mr.Udhaya Kulandaivelu. He gave the flavour to the dialogues wherever necessary without disrupting my ideas.

Cast:- Jennifer character is written with Aymee in mind since I knew her interest in acting and her father John Balog is a good friend of mine. Al sotomayor already played in my another movie and I wanted to use his talents. Kimberly Kurus (Mom) is a professional actress and Kyle Rivera(Dad) is my office collegue. They all came to rehearsals without fail and cooperated with great enthusiasm.

Production:- Chris Freilich is the cinematographer who gave those beautiful images exactly as I imagined. Before going for the shoot, I videographed the whole movie on locations and Played it for him. I took the photographs (a.k.a) storyboards also so that it will be easy for us during shooting. Sam wells, highly experienced professional is the assistant cinematographer, Gaffer. Sudhar Krishnamachary took care of assisting me in the whole shoot and he noted all the shots,retakes & arranged half of things whatever necessary for the shoot. Harini took care of production design and Veera took stills for the movies and assisted the Camera crew. The movie is shot with Panasonic DVX 100A (Thanks to Kumar) and Chris brought the whole lighting equipment and Dolly.

Post production:- The movie is edited in Avid and Joseph Maksimow is the Editor, who gave his valuable inputs during our discussions and compiled the movie. Srikanth, my friend did the background score and sound design. It was fun working with him in his professioanl studio, STUDIO 1234. He composed the beautiful song 'Daddy's gal' which was performed by Alisha Thomas and lyrics were written by Udhaya. Once the whole movie is edited, the final version is sent to Boise for Color correction and it was taken care by my (our) Triggerstreet friend Brandon Freeman (Hal e woode). Many thanks to him for his patience in listening to my ideas and giving a great result. As each and everybody in my cast & crew know, I demanded a lot from them and everybody responded with their best for this most satisfactory project of minetill date, Stinking Cigar. Last but not least, Iam thankful to my wife Rajitha who took care of our home and our sweet baby, Advait during my complete involvement in this project.
