Prasanna and Injury - The truth
Yes, Prasanna was injured in the sets day before yesterday. The whole inci(acci)dent is below. We were shooting the climax and there was a stunt where John shea has to punch Prasanna. We rehearsed everything and somehow the timing missed and the punch directly landed on Prasanna’s head. I was watching the whole thing in the monitor and realized immediately that the timing missed. Prasanna fell on the floor and I yelled ‘CUT’ immediately. Stunt coordinator Ian Mclaughlin and the doubles went near the spot with first aid kit and ice pack. Prasanna was totally shaken up and it was really a hard blow. Things came back to normal in 30 mins and Prasanna, like a real hero came back to the spot and finished the stunt.
In the mean time, I saw some reports in the media and even got fewer calls from my friends about the same. There is no rod involved and there are no stitches
Prasanna is fine now and he is a good sport!
This real ACCIDENT should be in Special Edition DVD
Have a good weekend!
Follow up :- Just now director Myskin called me to enquire abt the incident
News spread so fast and I told him ‘Nothing to worry!’

Rigging the car!

We rigged the car for all the driving scenes. The camera will be mounted in the car and I explained the actions for the scene. Actor will go for couple of drives, does all the actions and once he comes back, we will check the take. I also sat next to John sometimes whenever the frame is close on him. Prasanna has some driving scenes and one small stunt in the coming weeks. Its going to be fun! The picture has John shea, me, Brian Bentham (First AD) and Chris freilich my DP.

Some ramblings!
Things are good. The weather played some spoil sport day before yesterday and we had to wrap little earlier than we planned for. The kind of pressure from all the sides sometimes can drive a director mad and the experiences of putting together some decent budget short films comes in handy during those times. I am typing this from the set before the first shot for today and I have some cool photos which I will be sharing soon.
Today morning, somehow I remembered my DAD and how sweet he was towards my extra curricular activities. He encouraged each and everything and compiled all my photographs, writings, articles religiously. When I showed ‘The Seance’, he asked me ‘Film is nice. But when are you going to do a film where I can understand something?’ :) I am currently doing a film which he would have understood easily! Appa…I miss you!
Yesterday, my first son who is just 4.5 yrs old called me and told ‘You are always working appa!’. I know…my wife and kids deserve a nice vacation with me! Hopefully, I will be able to plan for the same once the production is wrapped!
Anyway, back to work!
