First tamil film in RED camera!
We have decided the camera for the film. Its going to be RED - I am sure this camera is going to be a boon for Indie film makers with lot of dreams and a decent budget. The output is as equivalent to Super 35MM and we had a small test shoot too. According to me, Camera, format are just tools to tell a story - Tomorrow, there might be a new camera coming out called ‘Yellow’ or ‘Blue’ and all filmmakers will go behind the same…You never know 
Its better to keep us updated with all these new technology innovations since it can save time, money, energy and the output can be better. When Kevin smith (Our own Newjersey director) shot Clerks in 16mm, black and white….nobody neglected the film because of its format. In fact, it was a revolution in terms of Independent film history. All these above said facts tell us one thing - Filmmaking is mostly about telling a good story regardless of all the other things!

just like mozart, teh script is the key to any story. whoever acts, which ever technology is employed, who ever works in it, in the end it is the story that matters. thats why classics like bicylce theif, mouna ragam all clicked!

oo arun did u mention kevin smith and clerks…boy tht was one heck of a movie..i loved every scene of it..the movie probly went unnoticed because of the marketing strategies..but kevin has his own die hard fans..like me..
so is this going to be as long as any normal tamil movie?. i totally agree with casting prasanna and sneha..prasanna has that normal guy looks which would make him a good NRI and sneha i think she can be whatever she wants..shes pretty comfortable with her acting i guess..
yes film making is all abt a good story and a strong screenplay. then u can ornate it with dialouges and then comes the folks who can deliver what u need like the actors ,musician and rest. oh but i believe u also need a very good director and technicians for a great movie..
hey you guys take aspiring film makers with no expirience as unpaid interns ??..am serious

a few years back, a certain Elia Kazan said, on the Oscar dais, while accepting an award for his lifetime achievement; “people! forget topten or bottomten, just tell stories !” , it was an appropriate advice to all of those in filmmaking. good going .

hey, did u saw RED camera.. well i was jus browsin’ through indiaglitz where i got the news that Kamal Hassan’s Marmayoghi is the first film that uses the RED camera technique new to tamil cinema. Well, guess they have to change the news.. Anywayz goodluck.. and a very good idea this is to interact with fans world wide..cheers!
